Mysterious beauty of the mountains
The Golden Mountains in the Sudety Mountains are one of the last undiscovered areas in Poland. There are still unmarked hiking trails to some of the peaks, and the dense forests covering their slopes are delightfully floral. Soaring spruces and spreading larches guard the entrances to numerous caves.
Unexpected encounter, unexpected inspiration
While exploring one of the caves, I met a girl on the trail who, instead of a traditional torch, had... her daughter's kaleidoscope instead. The child's toy projected subtle images onto the monumental rocks. The effect was both surprising and mesmerising.
A reflection of natural details
The damp rocks sparkled and shone in the torchlights. I decided to transfer these ornaments to ceramics. I covered the base tile, which is reminiscent of slate rock, with delicate ornaments. Here is the cave of the Golden Mountains decorated with subtle luminous decoration.
