We are moving away from ostentation in favour of authenticity and understated, timeless beauty. The latest addition to the Monolith range of large-format porcelain tiles– Taj Mahal Stone – fits perfectly into this trend, which is defined by sensual minimalism and the concept of ‘quiet luxury’. This collection is designed for spaces where elegance does not need to be overt, and where its power lies in quality, texture and the refined restraint of form.
The starting point for the creation of the collection was Brazilian quartzite, regarded as one of the most beautiful and highly prized rocks in the world.Tubądzin’s designers approached the project with the belief that challenging established conventions and questioning familiar design principles does not have to mean rejecting them entirely. Attempting to view matter from a completely different angle opened the mind to a new dimension and allowed previously undiscovered aesthetic qualities to be brought to light.
A matt finish instead of a polished one: redefining the concept of luxury
This deliberate shift in emphasis led to a search for a different form of expression for what is most valuable in the aesthetics of the Taj Mahal: nobility and depth. Instead of the traditional, cool-toned polish, a matt finish was chosen. As a result, the elegance blends seamlessly into a subtle, exceptionally smooth and pleasant-to-the-touch base, offering a completely new tactile experience.
A harmonious blend of white, beige and grey
The visual tranquillity of the surface is created by a sophisticated colour scheme in which shades of white, beige and cream, interspersed with grey, blend harmoniously. Taj Mahal Stone meets the need to create calming interiors in which the natural material blends seamlessly with the architecture, bringing a timeless balance and authentic depth to contemporary designs.
