Tubądzin opens a new Showroom in Romania and plans further expansion outside Poland

December 2, 2020

2020 has been difficult and unpredictable to almost every industry. Despite the difficult situation on the market, the Tubądzin Group reinforced its leading position. The Group is closing the year with successful sales results in Poland and is conquering foreign markets. In the picturesque city of Oradea, Romania, Tubądzin and its local business partner have just opened a new, impressive showroom.

Oradea is called ‘Great Waradyn’ in Polish. It is one of the most developed cities in Romania and can be found near the Hungarian border. It is where Interioo was opened last month, the first showroom of Todoceram, the Romanian distributor of Tubądzin Group products.

The Romanian business partner supplies Tubądzin products to over 700 domestic shops, but Interioo is its first very own showroom which carries bathroom accessories and finishing products. The showroom floorspace is approximately 1000 m2, over 40% of which is the showcase of Ceramika Tubądzin. Customers will find there the latest collections, like tile collections in the 33 x 90 cm format (Curio, Grunge, Brainstorm, and Coma), tiles created by Maciej Zień, and the latest large format proposals, shown in staged bathroom cubicles and on display stands. The Torano collection by MONOLITH can be marvelled at on the entire floor of the showroom.

Opening of the Interioo showroom in Romania

The showroom opening event was attended by local officials and press. Representing the Tubądzin Group, Maciej Malinowski, Export Director West ceremonially opened the showroom. The event was under rigorous disease control restrictions, as are the current operations at the showroom.

The conditions seem not to favour commerce. There are fewer customers at showrooms because of the sanitary restrictions and temporary lockdowns of shopping venues in various countries. However, Tubądzin can chalk off this year as a success in terms of product sales in foreign markets. Even in the very difficult year 2020, we are near meeting the annual plan. The past months taught us that, despite the rapid changes in the world, Tubądzin, a premium product brand, did not lose the support of its loyal customers and won over many more prospects. It is a very promising prognosis for the coming seasons. The customers who look for superior quality products, that will last many years, follow the criterion of the best quality, more so in the time of crisis. This is evident from the foreign sales of our tiles which keeps growing, also in Romania. In 2021, we are planning to expand further — our products are now available in nearly 70 countries, says Maciej Malinowski.

While conquering new markets, Tubądzin must respect the local trends and likings. Romanians love spaces, which harmonize with and are inspired by nature, yet they are not shy to experiment with form and modern design. They still appreciate the Balkan style, which is full of colours, dynamism, sunlight, and folklore, they also want to follow the global trends. This makes the tiles from Ceramika Tubądzin very popular in the region.

The Tubądzin Group is among the most recognisable ceramic tile manufacturers in Poland. For over 35 years, the company has been a design trendsetter and launches innovative products and solutions. In Poland, Tubądzin is a pioneer of large format tile production, supplying tiles measuring up to 120 x 240 cm. Made from the best materials, the products from Tubądzin find their way into every interior space, not just bathrooms. The tiles are of superior quality and are also lifelike in the look and feel of wood, marble, and concrete. The tiles are manufactured with the latest global technologies and the show case of the Tubądzin Group. In 2019, Tubądzin sold products in 60 countries.

Tubądzin cooperates with excellent creators of design and culture (including Maciej Zień, Dorota Koziara, and Wojciech Siudmak), holds the prestigious Tubądzin Design Awards for young talents in design and architecture, as well as commits itself to education, social and environmental campaigns.

The Tubądzin brand tiles are made from precious natural materials and finished with colours safe to both health and the environment. In its care for the environment, Tubądzin promotes principles of sustainable growth and invests in innovative solutions, like the Continua+ technology, which allows for reduced usage of energy and CO2 emissions. Tubądzin also participates in pro-green projects and acts to improve the environmental awareness of local communities.
