Soft loft folly at Mono Cafe& Bistro in Łódź

The soft loft style makes an excellent alternative solution for industrial space lovers who crave to have a subtle warm interior. This concept captivates with its multidimensionality, squaring the past with the present under the same roof.

Soft loft is an interesting styling convention that blurs the lines between somewhat cool industrialism and cosy conventionalism. Elements typical for factory architecture, such as brick, concrete and metal, are important here, as equally as classics that warm up their harshness. Soft materials, pastel colours and stone designs can provide the interior with a unique touch.

is Mono Cafe restaurant, run by Ania Zając and her husband Jakub in Monopolis complex in Łódź. Following the convention, the premises are full of references to heavy industrial equipment and the design of old factories including red bricks. However, in order to create a space suitable for conversations and for enjoying the cuisine, the greys, blacks and reds have been toned down with classic whites and unusual accessories.

the Brave Iron collection forms the heart of MonoCafe. The subtle patterns adorned on a graphite background were inspired by various metal surfaces that were likewise used to enclose huge factory machinery. Combined with black loft ceiling lighting, the Brave Iron tiles provided an incredibly interesting styling effect. Its industrial design refers to the industrial history of the site, while the herringbone pattern itself lends a pleasant, homely touch.

from the Torano White collection, which also emphasise a familiar feel to the restaurant. They correspond with red bricks, black window frames and lighting. Pastel decorative elements associated with the communist era complement the tiles perfectly. These tiles optically brighten and enlarge the area of a small bistro. Their spectacular stone structure brings an atmosphere of intimacy to the interior.
